Our Counselor
My name is Stephanie Bruce, and I am delighted to be in my 6th year at Morris Grove Elementary. My heart and soul are in helping all students reach their fullest potential in academic, personal/social, and career development. I believe ALL students can be successful by building upon their strengths.
I am a licensed school counselor for K-12 schools. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a M.Ed. in School Counseling. Before becoming a counselor I worked as a photojournalist, earning my bachelor degrees in journalism and psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. It was a career that required trust, empathy, and relationship building- all strengths that I bring with me to school counseling. When I'm not working with students, I love spending time with photography, watching Texas football, and going to Carolina basketball games.
